My aunt was in hospital for 6 and half weeks. The majority of her time was in ward 42. I cannot praise the nurses enough. They went above and beyond the call of duty.
My aunt was scared and lonely at times due to covid. Paul and his team went the extra mile. Ciara a band 5 nurse who acted up to nurse in charge at times was professional, caring and genuine. Nothing was a bother. She was amazing in every sense of the word. My dad was also in the same ward in January and he still talks fondly of her.
Two other nurses were Chloe and Olivia, both newly qualified nurses and the care they gave was amazing. They both are a credit to the NHS and always made sure everything was done to perfection. They really cared and it showed. They really deserve the recognition and I mean it from the bottom of my heart they are stars 🌟.
Lastly 2 student nurses shone. One was Mary and the other was Aisleen I think. She works alongside Oliva. They both are compassionate, caring and thoughtful. They really will make great nurses. I would like to say a massive thanks to all the staff in ward 42 for the care and attention to my aunt.
Just a little note, a couple of the auxiliary staff need a little more patience and bed side manners.
But overall Paul runs an amazing ward with a fantastic team that the NHS should be proud of. Thanks a million!
