I had two appointments scheduled with Louden Medical Surgery. One for Dr. Robertson and right after, one for Yvonne the physiotherapist. I had to use the loo at the last minute where I had blood stains on the loo paper and ended up being late for my appointment with Dr. Robertson who was to see me about my back/skin rashes, which then interfered with my physio appointment which was scheduled after that. The surgery could have said sorry, you will have to make other appointments, but after I explained to reception, Dr. Robetrson re-arranged things, the physio appointment, and she got me in her office quick! She inspected my back and colon (that she was notified of at the last minute). After checking me out, she prescribed meds for both and did a referral for me to see a specialist. I was concerned about bowel cancer, considering I didn't get an NHS test pack last November because of Covid-19 pushed these tests back.
Yvonne the physiotherapist I can see is highly trained and very lovely person. She asked me some questions and checked both legs, hips, etc. I appeared to pass all her tests, but this pain I had in my right leg I had for weeks. I told Yvonne I had just finished with NHS Podiatrist Emma in Kilmarnock, that I previously highly complimented her for my left foot turned out great! Yvonne told me I could have been favouring my left foot while I am causing problems to my right side not knowing this. Yvonne told me I know pain for 3-4 weeks sounds like a long time, so give it a bit more time. I have been using a personal exercise program I have received from the NHS a bit ago and with that my right leg appears to be on the mend and feels a lot better!
The meds are helping my back and other bits I have previously mentioned. My leg pain seems to have reduced. As far as my tail end goes, I am just all smiles!!
With all the Chaos I caused being late, I want to thank both Dr. Robertson and Yvonne for taking me in late and giving me the care I desperately needed so quickly, In my opinion, they are highly trained outstanding professionals.
I have been with Louden Medical Centre for near 6 years now and they have always provided me with outstanding care! They are a tremendous team! I must say in my 70-year history, “Both Sides of the Pond”, Civilian and US Navy Military, it's the best GP surgery I have ever attended!
I want to give Carrie the Nurse/Phlebotomist a huge compliment for she is taking care of my diabetic care which helped me lose weight and control my diabetes a lot better. She has also given me books, pamphlets to read, which help a lot.
"I am just all smiles!"
