At last I've got something positive to say about the mental health and out of hours services.
I don't know if I just fell lucky for a change when I had to phone up the out of hours team but I had the most amazing person who I was talking to. He was so understanding and he listened to what I had to say. I was very distressed when I was talking to him and he had the most calming voice what helped me a lot. I felt like I was being taken seriously and he had loads of patience letting me talk about how I was feeling without interrupting me. He knew that I wasn't well and needed help as soon as possible. He got me some help that day, I was referred to the mental health decisions unit for 2nights. He also suggested a referral to do some dbt therapy what I thought would really help me.
The crisis team came to see me after 2 days and they also gave me some positive support and they gave me leaflets to read on how I can help myself.
A few days after I got a call from a mental health doctor who also suggested some other help and hopefully I will be getting some short term support from spa mental health team.
All this help I got was all down to the person who I spoken to from the out of hours team.
I am now feeling in a better positive place .
I wish I could mention his name who helped me because he was amazing.
