My father availed of this service last week for 5 days, his second experience in 10 months. He is in his mid eighties and active.

The dedication of Dr Khan and the nursing team has been invaluable to Dad and us as a family, enabling us to look after him at home whilst he received a very high standard of medical intervention. Their support, their access to diagnostic results and speed of decisions regarding changes to treatment on a daily basis is such a professional operation. We were informed at every stage and as the team come to the family home we never feel we are being a bother to them whereas in a busy ward it's maybe not always possible to speak to the Dr. With hospital at home our experience has been very satisfactory and our preferred approach for both out elderly parents. It's a service which has so much potential for families who's loved ones want to be looked after in their homes, especially during covid when visiting was restricted but as a model of care going forward it is an important service to build upon.
