Anything else?
My dad was admitted taken to A&E by an excellent paramedic team that we're concerned about all the seemingly unconnected things that he was experiencing and they were right to do so. He was assessed quickly and was admitted. At 5.30 the following morning we received a phone call asking us to get to the hospital as he had collapsed and taken a turn for the worse, the staff on the ward were excellent and another patient commented, to us, on how swiftly they dealt with my dad. Scans and tests were quickly arranged and the results given. My only criticism would be that the first chest x ray from A&E was lost and the second had to be chased up. Also we had to wait for 2 hours for some medication that had been missed by the pharmacy on discharge.
The ward staff were not only extremely caring towards my dad but also to us, making sure we were ok too. Thankfully he is ok and was sent home a few days later. The nurses obviously work under extreme pressure, are run off their feet but always somehow manage to stay friendly and professional. We could not have asked for better care, thank you ward J26.
