"Lack of staff in Thorneycroft Care Home"

My husband resides in Thorneycroft in Stranraer. In each ward, there is 10 patients, and most are not capable of looking after themselves. My husband has Alzheimer’s, the staff are very excellent however there is never enough of them. Most days the ward is resourced with two carers, they cannot keep up with the work. 

The situation has gone on too long now.  We pay significant costs for our loved ones to receive 24/7 care. It is not acceptable for them to have to suffer because there is not enough resources. 

Also the gardener was paid off and the gardens are a disgrace, it is a lovely wee home but again being left as not enough staff. 

It’s not fair on anyone. I truly hope you can do something about this. T
