Sirs
I have been registered with the Chipping Surgery at Wotton-under-Edge since I moved into the area in 1974, having only a short break from them in the 1990s when I lived out of the area. During that time, I have seen this surgery rise majestically from having two doctors and a temporary secretary to a remarkable organisation, which started expansion in 1987 to keep in line with the growing number of residences in the area. The staff have also grown in number from those two registered doctors, to ten doctors and a staff of some twenty people, including highly experienced nurses; in addition there is a pharmacy incorporated in the new and specially designed building. Remarkably, during all of my time, particularly when I have called for assistance, it has been given promptly, efficiently and with a most cheerful fashion. I have never known any unpleasantness within this organisation, which, I believe, is down to the way in which the three senior partners that I have known, have laid out the terms of reference to any prospective staff in the manner in which they should deal with patients. I am now old, and need more medical assistance than I have needed in the past, but I consider myself exceedingly fortunate to be registered at this particular surgery.
"Incredible organisation and staff"
