"Memory assessment"

I was worried about my memory and asked to be referred to the Memory Clinic. I was pleased that my request was taken seriously and a referral was made in a relatively short time. I live in the Ayrshire and Arran Health Board area.

A CPN from the Elderly Community Health Care Team, visited and then referred me to the Older Adult Psychology Team

I was seen quickly and a series of appointments made to assess me.

Again I was pleased to be taken seriously and dealt with very respectfully.

The whole experience was a good one and I feel much better for having gone through it.

I am very impressed by the service I received and want the professionals involved to know how helpful it has been.

I have been told that there is only four psychologists for the whole of South Ayrshire which, I believe, has a very high percentage of elderly residents. This makes my treatment all the more outstandingly good.
