What could be improved
New choose and book system - a real mess.
My elderly mother was reffered by her GP for an ophthalmic eye problem earlier this year.
The 'choose and book' system has completely failed her by firstly giving an inappropriate appointment, then cancelling it - then completely cancelling her GP refferal out fully and re-requesting the refferal to happen all over again! I am not sure what is going on, perhaps the hospital do not want her showing on the 18-week pathways figures?
For an older person, the system is very confusing and very fustrating.
Sadly, she has decided to opt out and go privately as she is fed up with the hassle.
