My husband had a bad gash in his hand, caused when gardening. The local pharmacist told him it needed stitching and directed us to A & E or an NHS Walk-in Centre. We chose the latter, because it is in the centre of town and convenient to reach, and we were very impressed with the efficient and caring service from the staff. The premises were clean, well-lit and tidy, and a pleasant place to wait. We returned 2 days later for the wound to be redressed, and were attended to promptly. The nurse even contacted our local GP surgery to arrange an appointment for a Tetanus booster.
