"Poor accessibility"

About: Scunthorpe General Hospital

(as a service user),

I have been to a number of outpatient appointments recently and on each occasion I have had to help either wheelchair users, who were unable to open the doors unassisted, or other patients who where struggling with the weight of the doors to get through.  Yes they need to be closed for fire safety but patients in wheelchairs or those with any frailty are struggling to get through them unassisted. Please find a solution such as 'Dorguards' to allow them to stay open for patients to be able to navigate the numerous halls and close when the alarms go off.
