Yesterday I checked in at 8.30am at the Manfield Day Surgery Unit in Northampton Hospital, much to the surprise of the staff on duty as the injection I was due to have was not schedulded until much later in the afternoon. The staff, who were all lovely, booked me in and said that I was free to go away and come back at 12. As I had a lift in from Daventry, because of the car park fees, it would have cost £10 as it was over 6 hrs, this left me stuck.I had the procedure done, had a lovely cup of tea and left the unit at 4.00pm.
Also the eating instructions said only to have a light breakfast as this injection is done under a local you are able to eat what you like. This is the second injection I have had done at the unit and now I have now been through this twice. It would be nice if there is a third time for it to be arranged a bit better.
Thanks to all the staff in the unit.
"Why check in so early"
