"Vaccination Centre Alistair McCoist Centre East Kilbride"

About: NHS Lanarkshire / Covid 19 Vaccination Programme

(as a service user),

I visited the Alistair McCoist centre along with my husband in the hope that if it was not busy I could be vaccinated at the same time. My scheduled appointment was for later in the week.

Although there were only a few people waiting to be vaccinated, the staff member in charge refused to fit me in. When I asked them to explain why they could not accommodate me they suggested that lots of people could turn up at any moment, and did I not know that the NHS gave appointment times for a reason.

As an intelligent 60 year old woman I do not appreciate being spoken to like a 5 year child. There was absolutely no logical reason why I could not have been vaccinated today. It felt to me that being in charge had gone to this person's head.

Dear Bella14,

Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us about your recent experience visiting the Alistair McCoist centre with your husband.

I am very sorry to read of your experience with the staff member in charge.

I would be more than happy to look into this further, if you could send your contact details to tobias.tipper@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk I will call you back to discuss.

Thank you

Tobias
