I was brought to Daisy Hill Hospital's Emergency Department via an ambulance. The crew were all very nice and took excellent care of me. My experience in A&E was alright and all the staff were very nice.
I was then moved up onto the Stroke and Rehab ward. It has been overall quite good on the ward. The attitude of all the staff members has been very good. One thing I would say is that the staff could maybe explain things better to me about what is going on. I have also found that if, for instance, you are looking for a painkiller, the staff tell you that they will be "back in a minute" but in reality it could be two hours before you get some pain relief.
When it comes to the food it has been alright - but I have really had no appetite. The apple crumble and custard has been quite nice.
Overall, my stay here has been quite good. Everything has been kept clean and I have been quite comfortable here.
"Excellent attitude from Stroke & Rehab Staff"
