"Excellent Care"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response

(as a service user),

My mother was recently admitted via ambulance to Craigavon Hospital initially to the Resus unit at ED. The Ambulance staff were excellent with my father both on the phone and on arrival of the team, my mother being unresponsive at this point. The medical and nursing staff were diligent and attentive throughout. I would like to thank them all on behalf of my whole family. My mother is now on the road to recovery due in no small part to the care she received.

Hi Importerpm65

Thank you for taking the time to detail your recent experience of the ambulance response for which your mother received, during what sounds to be a very difficult time for your father who made the call.

We make it our mission to provide the right resource first time and in doing so providing the best patient care. We are continually reminded of the remarkable communication skills of our staff as they care for patients at vulnerable times in their life.

I would like to identify the call handler and the crew who attended to your mother. For me to do this, I would need the following:

- date and approximate time call was made.

- address the ambulance was sent to.

Please forward this information to my email: demi.mckay@nias.hscni.net

I am so pleased to know your mother is now on the mend and doing well.

Best wishes

Demi McKay
