"Orthotic shoes"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a service user),

Was looking forward to be able to walk without pain. What a let down over 6 months waiting for them and when they arrive they are the most uncomfortable, painful boots I have ever tried. No support for ankle , sole that thin you can feel every small stone or lump on the path.

The cuff on the top of the boot rubs the skin off my ankle ,the front of boot is bent at the wrong angle and rubs on foot .

The new orthotic insoles move about inside the boot .

For a supposedly measured and hand made boot to fit me absolute rubbish.

Walking shoes I previously have are much better with my old orthotic insoles. .

Hi Trying to walk

I am sorry to hear the treatment you received in the Orthotics service did not provide you with the supportive footwear you required.

I would like to arrange a review appointment for you, where you will be seen by an experienced Orthotist to resolve the issues you have experienced.

Could you please consider contacting the Orthotics department by calling 01522 573493 so we can arrange a review appointment urgently?

Best wishes
