"Community treatment team"

About: Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health

(as other),

I was recently put in contact with the Community Treatment Team (CTT) at Ashington. After having a traumatic experience with a different CTT, I now have experienced the same from yet another.

I had gone to appointment's but I was then a missing person so obviously I couldn't attend them one's. I had tried from the start of being put in contact with the CTT to tell them so many times what help I would require, yet all the two people did was ask me again and again. They didn't seem to want to do anything but ask me that and make small talk about things that were not necessary to the conditions that I suffer from which they would be more than aware of.

What these people at this service do is get you to go through everything that they know about as it's in health notes, they try to make out they don't know this to just drag out appointments to suit them. You can't ask them anything and when you do they will on nearly every occasion avoid answering you it's no wonder you get frustrated with them.

They will try to give you pieces of paper that are of no use to you about your physical health when I know about that and I explained to them I have it already. They also want you to talk about things that you don't want to but you feel pressured. The way that they present themselves to the patients needs improvement, the way that they make small talk needs improvement in fact so much needs improving but nothing improves. Then all they do is discharge you before even getting any treatment, it's ridiculous amongst other things.

What is the point in them.
