At Care Opinion, we are all about listening, learning, and growing – both as a platform and a team. As we continue to evolve, we have some exciting news to share about our leadership.

After more than 11 years as CEO, James Munro will be stepping down from the role on the 1st of April 2025. But don’t worry – he’s not going far! James will continue to be a vital part of Care Opinion, focusing on platform development, research, and education, as our new Director of R&D. His passion and vision have shaped Care Opinion into the trusted platform it is today, and we’re so grateful that he’ll be staying on to help us keep innovating and growing.

James shared his thoughts on the transition:

“From the 1st April 2025, I will be stepping down after over 11 years as CEO. I will not be leaving Care Opinion though-I have a pile of ideas, and there is still plenty I want to do. So, in my new role, I’ll be focusing on platform development and fostering initiatives around Care Opinion research and professional education.

After a formal internal recruitment process, I’m delighted to say that our new CEO will be Fraser Gilmore. Fraser brings plenty of new energy and new ideas to our team, along with a strong commitment to our mission, and I am excited to see how Care Opinion continues to develop under his leadership in the years ahead.”

Fraser has been leading Care Opinion in Scotland for the past 5 years and has seen first-hand the power of people’s stories in shaping better care. As he takes on this new role, his commitment to listening, learning and driving meaningful change remains at the core of his vision:

“I am absolutely delighted to step into the role of CEO at Care Opinion. I want to express my heartfelt thanks to James for his incredible leadership and dedication over the years. His passion for our mission has helped Care Opinion grow into the trusted, impactful platform it is today. I’m so pleased he’ll continue to play a key role in our work, leading our research and development efforts.

As I take on this new role, my focus is on keeping Care Opinion a safe, welcoming, and influential space where every voice matters. I look forward to working with our amazing team, our partners and most importantly, the people who share their stories with us. Together, we’ll make care better for everyone.”

We’re excited about what’s ahead for Care Opinion, and we know that under Fraser’s leadership, and with James’s continuing to drive innovation, we’ll keep building on our mission that makes a real difference to staff and patients alike.

Here’s to the next chapter!
