Theatres - the Press have a look round

Today we had a visit from some of our local press colleagues so that they could have a look round the new theatres.   Our Chief of Surgery and one of our colo-rectal surgeons joined the tour and both spoke brilliantly about how much they are looking forward to working in the new theatres.

I feel very lucky being an Estates director and working in a Trust where so much is happening.  In the last couple of years and into next year we will have sent c. £45m on new buildings and it's such a thrill to be able to do this as patients and staff get so much from working and being treated in a great environment. 

When they were here one of the reporters did a little video which shows me talking about some of the things we've been doing.  They also did a video with our clinicians and when thats published i will share it as well - they speak far more eloquently than me about the benefits the new theatres will bring.
