Patient Opinion is the UK’s leading independent feedback service for health care, and has recently also extended to adult social care, via Care Opinion.
We all know how important the integration agenda has become for all providers and commissioners. Care Opinion was funded by the Department of Health to provide along with Patient Opinion integrated feedback platforms for public stories to traverse across health and social care provision. (you can read more on the Care Opinion blog)
This event is a call to action, to use online feedback to join up local conversations about care and treatment. The functionality of Patient and Care Opinion will support these conversations, by giving all local stakeholders simultaneous access to stories told on the site.
Setting up email alerts, storytelling widgets, encouraging blogs will facilitate service improvements and quality monitoring of different care pathways. A joint approach to story generation will give a view of what’s happening as people move from hospital to community care; both domiciliary support and nursing home placement.
The workshop will introduce participants to Patent and Care Opinion and will go on to explore each organisation’s role in taking this forward. We will be focussing in the workshop on end of life care, but will also cover how we use this model in other areas.
