If you've logged into Patient Opinion as a subscriber recently you might have noticed a new link on the top menu bar: "Saved things". Yes, you're right, it is a bit vague.
If you follow this link you'll find it takes you to a page listing all the alerts, reports and searches you have saved in your subscription.
We used to list these things on your profile page.
Why the new page?
I'm glad you asked. We had a few reasons in mind.
- Some people like to save a lot of reports or searches. We wanted to give you a bit more space for long lists of things.
- Some people found our existing workflow for creating a new alert (for example) a bit unituitive. The new page gives you a clear starting point if you want to create a new alert, report or search. (I'll blog more about this in my next post.)
- We plan to add some fancy new options to alerts - now we have a place to do that.
- We've taken the opportunity to add a switch so you can turn your alerts on and off.
- And we also have a few ideas for other "saved things" we could add to this page, in due course.
Is that it?
Yes, that's it. Not very exciting in itself, I agree - but the basis for some new things we are working on. And I thought you should know why we moved your cheese.
