We were delighted to be part of the International Forum in Quality and Safety in Healthcare organised by the IHI/BMJ which took place in Glasgow in March 2019. Something Don Berwick, President Emeritus and Senior Fellow, Institute for Healthcare Improvement said in one of the plenary sessions really resonated with me.
Measurement is poor man’s conversation
How true, if all our conversation focuses on is the data.
This year's annual review of Care Opinion across health in Scotland consists of two parts:-
- an interactive presentation, "the journey of a story", where you will hear from an author and clinical colleagues about their use of Care Opinion;
- statistical information.
We offer all of this information in the hope that it will start conversations and in recognition that stats never tell the full story!
