Hi,

For the week starting the 9th of December we are planning to “Turn up the volume on feedback” (#NHSAAislistening2you) to promote the use of Care Opinion to listen to patients, family members, carers and the public and increase staff engagement.  University Hospital Crosshouse and University Hospital Ayr will host a stand in their respective dining room. On the 16th of December, there will be a stand in Girvan community hospital form 11 – 200, and in East Ayrshire Community Hospital, on the 19th of December in the morning until 2.00pm.

The percentage of positive stories about NHS Ayrshire and Arran has increased year on year and currently over 70% are complimentary. This gives us the opportunity to give the staff the well-deserved pat-on-the back.

For the less positive stories, where the experience could have been better, it gives us the chance to reflect on the feelings of our service users, understand the impact on them and the opportunity to make changes and improvements.

All in all, it’s a win:win.

I look forward to welcoming the staff and public alike across the week and encourage them to hear how Care Opinion can help us all. It would be great if people will take a ‘selfie’ with our poster on their own or in their team and tweet the picture, including #listeningtoyou, @careopinion and @careopinionscot. They can also posend it to the comms team at CommunicationXH@aapct.scot.nhs.uk.

At the stand there will also be the chance to grab a few freebies, yes, we all like a free pen or sticky note pad - to remind us how to feedback on Care Opinion of course!

Eunice
