"tiverton hospital was a diamond with me"

About: Tiverton & District Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I was 17 when I found I was pregnant! At that age I was young and didn't know what my next moves were. So I took step by step what I thought normally happens and eventually had my once midwife appointment at Tiverton hospital.

I had a middle aged woman. We didn't get on. I felt she was rude. After a few weeks of having her someone else stepped in for a session due to my midwife being ill. I got on with this new one so better than the one I had, I wouldn't normally ask but I wanted to be comfortable and they accepted.

There on out I looked forward to going to my midwife appointments and felt I could ask the questions I needed.

I'm telling this little story because Tiverton hospital was a diamond with me but yet it doesn't help if you don't communicate. That's all it takes. My labour was amazing the hospital had everything I needed and they did the best to give me the best, less painful and active labour to get my baby out safe and for me to be safe!

I was rude to the members at time while in labour (but who isn't these days) and they understand! Helped afterwards. Gave me advice I needed and helped me when I was tired gave me strong advice on breastfeeding. Even helped my little one to latch on more then once too!

I would just like to say Tiverton hospital is an amazing place to see a midwife or to give birth there's not a thing I would change! They truly were really good! Many thanks.
