(as the patient),

FEEDBACK TO NHS Scotland

After over eighty years of being “Hospital Free” I have, in the last 6 months, required the care and attention provided by three Hospitals -- Wishaw University, Monklands General and the Golden Jubilee Hospitals.

In October 2021, this related to the diagnosis and surgical treatment of colorectal cancer and three major hernias in Wishaw University and Golden Jubilee Hospitals. Follow up Oncology care is being provided at Monklands General Hospital.

In January 2022 I was admitted into Emergency Care at Wishaw U H after suffering severe chest pains, and was monitored and cared for over a period of five days.

May I publicly record the fact that at EVERY level, the service provided by NHS Scotland has been excellent. My family and I will be eternally grateful to all specialists and support staff involved in my care and recovery. To experience first-hand the care, dedication and professionalism displayed under current Covid and staffing pressures has been an emotional and humbling experience.

SPECIAL THANKS TO :- ( I have given dates to provide focus on particular departments and people)
